Ok, so it wasn't as much a road trip in itself as it was part of a more or less impromptu trip to the beach. We chose a place I hadn't been in years, one I always thought wasn't the best beach ever, but it turned out to be quite nice actually.
While the whole weekend was super relaxing and a great outing, I particularly enjoyed the road. I have to say, I missed my mountains when I was in the UK, and this trip totally made up for everything. The vegetation was intensely green and lush, the clouds were fluffy and low, the sky was brilliantly blue, especially on the way there. The way back was rainy and colder, but it was also very nice.
And of course, the best part of such a trip is seeing the beach for the first time among the mountaintops, knowing you'll be there in half an hour with family and friends.
How was your weekend?
