Los buñuelos de viento, o chenchis, como les decimos en casa, son deliciosamente adictivos y del gusto de todo mundo.
¿Qué ricas tradiciones de fin de año tienen ustedes?
Every year around Christmas, my mom, my sister and I get together to make buñuelos de viento (a kind of sweet fried cookies.) The recipe is supposedly Italian, or at least it reached us through an Italian great-uncle. Just like our traditional buñuelos, the ingredients are simple: flour, eggs, butter, white wine and some liquor. You mix it well and leave it for a while in the fridge. The next bit is more complicated: you have to stretch the dough really thin, cut it up and fry it. Once they're cold, you dust them with caster sugar.
Buñuelos de viento, or chenchis, as we call them at home, are deliciously addictive; everyone likes them.
